The career I am currently studying is sociology, I’m in my first year.
When I chose the university where I wanted to study, the most important thing to make a decision was the study program of the career and if I had English classes.
The sociology career had changes this year in the subjects of the first semester. The aginatures allow us to conceive of sociology as a discipline connected to other social sciences, thus being able to assess its role in the field of research and intervention political and social
Looking at the current curriculum from my point of view, I think that the five years are well structured and there are very varied subjects from all the social sciences. However, there are courses that are not really relevant to the professional future, although this definitely help to develop writing.
The duration of the degree seems appropriate to me, although I may change my mind when I'm in third year, where you can see a little more academic load. I must say that the teachers are very nice, at least this first semester everyone was worried about how we were progressing and if we had problems they helped us. Even the teachers modified their teaching methods so that the generation of students could understand the subject.
I can't say much about the infrastructure of the faculty of social sciences since I’ve been there only once, but it looks quite small in my opinion and a little more deteriorated than other faculties but it has its charm.
As I said before, I can change my mind since I just finished my first semester and I have many more (nine specific).
